7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio. The programsupports 7z, ZIP, RAR, CAB, GZIP, BZIP2, and TAR formats. Compressionratio in the new 7z format is 30-50% better than ratio in ZIP format.It also compresses to ZIP 2-10% better than PKZip and WinZip. It has anadditional powerful command line version and FAR Manager support.
Changes in 7-Zip 9.05 ( 2009-08-09):
- 7-Zip now can unpack MSLZ archives.
- Partial parsing for EXE resources, SWF and FLV.
- Some bugs were fixed.
- Some changes in interface.
