The northern waterfront of the Hong Kong Island has changed significantly many times due to reclamation within Victoria Harbour. The government carried out reclamation work in the 1860s, 1890s and post World WarⅡ. The Star Ferry's service between Central and Tsim Sha Tsui has been running since 1898. Its service in Central had to move to new wharfs, terminals and piers when reclamation took place. Again, Star Ferry will be involved in the relocation due to the Central Reclamation PhaseⅢ. Its ferry services currently operated at the Edinburgh Place Pier will be relocated to Central Pier No.7(Star Ferry) and Central Pier No.8 in mid November this year.
